This is to bring your kind knowledge that Indian Journal of Medical Microbiology is moving from the publishing house of Wolters Kluwer to Elsevier from January, 2021 onwards. Currently, all issues for the year 2020 have been finalised. January and April issues have been made available online free for all members based in the country. Last two issues of July and October have been combined as July - December, 2020. The same is likely to be available online by the end of October, 2020. The submissions to the current site of Wolters Kluwer are likely to stop from 15th October, 2020. The new site can be reached from the link https://www.editorialmanager.com/ijmmb/default.aspx for submission of new manuscripts for the year 2021. January, 2021 onwards there will be no APCs. Kindly note the articles submitted will only be accepted if all instructions to authors are completely adhered to. The articles submitted till date are expected to be handled on the previous editorial manager of Wolters Kluwer till the end of this year. However, due to the migration of journal to a new publisher site some inconvenience to our members is expected, which at this stage is unavoidable. This is to seek your co-operation till the journal settles at the new site. Any new information that we would like to share with you will be e-mailed as and when necessary.

Steps to get GPS Coordinates

How to Get GPS Coordinates from the “Google Maps App”?

You can get GPS coordinates from the Google Maps app provided you have an Android mobile device.

Steps are:

1. Open the Google Maps app on your Android device.

2. Press and hold on a location until you see a red pin.

3. Look in the search box at the top of the screen for the coordinates.

4. The information displayed at the top is (latitude, longitude) with six digits after the decimal place.

Please note: For the location of Lab to be geocodable, coordinates in degrees up to 6 decimal places are required.

Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Karad, are hosting MAHAMICROCON 2018, the XXIV Maharashtra State Chapter Conference of Indian Association of Medical Microbiologists (IAMM) from 28th to 30th September 2018. The Conference Theme is “Microbiology Today: Time to reflect on Penumbra.”

Odisha Chapter of IAMM is organizing its 12th annual state chapter conference hosted by the Department of Microbiology, MKCG MC, Behrampur on 7th October, 2018.

Assam MICROCON 2018, 2nd Biennial Conference of IAMM-Assam Chapter is being organized at Jorhat Medical College from 14th to 15th September, 2018 with a Pre-conference workshop on 13th September, 2018. The theme of the conference is “Antimicrobial Resistance- The way ahead”.
