It is my great honor that I have been entrusted with this huge responsibility of Secretary IAMM. IAMM brings together microbiologists from across the country on a single platform and tries to remain at forefront of all infectious threats. Some new activities are being started and an effort is on to align the state chapters with the National body. I request secretaries of all state chapters to mail their activity reports/forthcoming events for inclusion in newsletter. All state chapters are advised to share their details as and when there is any change to secretary email id. All chapters must get them registered in their states and apply for their own PAN number so that IAMM PAN number may not be used by any association/chapter.
Microbiologists have done commendable job in the last two years. The learnings from these years will stay with us for many generations. But our good and hard work must not be left behind and all of us should work meticulously for the upliftment of our society. I appeal to all to take this association to great heights and make an impact all across the world.
For the benefit of our post graduate residents, we continue to organize monthly PG masterclass. I request all seniors to encourage our junior faculty and residents to become members of IAMM. This will strengthen our association.
We have plans to start certificate course and short-term hands-on workshops under IAMM. Please wait for the official announcement.
Microcon 2024 will be in Pune. Let us all reach in huge numbers to make it a grand success. I thank all outgoing Executive members for their immense contribution to the association. I seek blessings of almighty and all our senior faculty and past Presidents to shoulder this huge responsibility.
